Taken during a training session with Chad and Rich, I was reviewing some Fuzhou White Crane techniques found in our syllabus.

And keeping to the ways I was given the arts, I am encouraging all my students to flow and “play” with techniques.

Yes, traditional forms are a vital training component but outweighing that is knowledge and applications of the principles underlining every form.

This makes 2 man flow drills a key aspect and like stew sometimes, the more you play the more flavors you extract….

In the clip, you’ll find 2 common Fuzhou Ancestral Crane techniques at work – “White Crane Spreads Wings” and “Old Man Catches Crane”.
