Wanted.
August 12, 2009
This post is slightly unlike the rest, instead of me posting pages from books in my collection, here is a book that I’ve been searching for a while……
I did find a on-line copy in one of the mainland forums I frequent, but the scanning is bad …….
Really would like to obtain a copy of the physical book because from the little that I could make out, some of the info is important to my work.
Look at the last page, this is the technique names of a Shaolin form and if you look at the left hand column, the 9th row says “White Crane Opening Wings 3 times”.
Now this is a name that is used only in particular White Crane forms that has special meaning to my family’s Crane.
So, if you know where I could get one …… shout!
Cheers.

The 5!
August 12, 2009
Still on our leisure stroll through the southern systems, I’ve got “5 Animals” form here for you.
As much as I want to say “Hung Gar”, I am going to keep back that comment.
And why you might ask?
To pre-empt receiving any mail telling me this is not original “Ng Yeng Kuen”.
When I posted “Lau Gar 5 Animals”, that is exactly the comment it picked up; not the genuine thing, recent composition blah blah blah….
I think the rule of thumb here is – as long as it’s different from what I do or taught by my Sifu, then it must be corrupted…….
Still, I am going to stick my neck out to say, the form is very Hung Gar – ish.
Okay now, shoot me.
ps..the pages are not arranged in sequence so you got to download and rearrange them yourself ….. see I told you to keep to 1 animal … so much simpler …. hahahaha
